The Story of the Brand
Founder Basel Binjabr grew up with scent. His father took him to the finest perfume oil sellers, where together they blended, tested and chose. He loved rose oil and called his blends his ‘precious jewels’. Thameen grew from that memory: jewels and perfume, two things that have expressed status, love and beauty for centuries, brought together in one house.
The Signature of the House
Every key ingredient is chosen for its quality, and most of the collection is extrait de parfum. Rose, oud, amber and leather recur often, always with a clear, modern line. The frosted glass bottle with its silver cap is instantly recognisable.
Perfumers and Collections
The jewel collection follows legendary jewels and treasures: Cullinan Diamond, Florentine Diamond, The Hope, Peacock Throne, Peregrina, Patiala and Royal Sapphire. Oud and rose are at the centre of Carved Oud and Noorolain Taif, among others.
The Britologne Collection, under the artistic direction of Christopher Chong, recasts classic eau de cologne in a richer form: Cologne Elixir at 25% concentration. Fanfare and Bravi are by Bruno Jovanovic and are set around Covent Garden, Chords by Nathalie Lorson honours Handel, and Bold As Love by Pierre Negrin links that same address to Jimi Hendrix. Centre Stage and Bohemian Infusion also belong to this line.
