Description

Amber Room

Inspiration
The original Amber Room in the Catherine Palace near Saint Petersburg was once called the eighth wonder of the world: walls of amber, with gold leaf and mirrors behind the panels. Thameen translated that room into a scent in which plenty of citrus plays the golden gleam of the light, while amber and resins play the warm panels.

Fragrance Family
Amber and spicy

The Olfactive Composition
Top notes: Bergamot, grapefruit, ginger, cardamom, pink pepper
Heart notes: Turkish rose, patchouli, cinnamon
Base notes: Amber, sandalwood, olibanum, vetiver, Tonka absolute

The Signature of Amber Room
Bergamot, grapefruit, ginger, cardamom and pink pepper make for a sparkling, lively opening. The heart places Turkish rose between patchouli and cinnamon, softly spiced and a touch dark. Amber, sandalwood, frankincense, vetiver and tonka absolute form a base that keeps glowing gently for hours.

What our ParfuMaria team thinks of this fragrance
Amber Room shows that an amber scent need not be heavy. What strikes us every time is how much light sits in the first minutes, as if sun were sweeping across the amber. Then it calms and rounds out, with cinnamon and rose as a warm core. It holds up long on skin, and the sillage is clearly present without overwhelming. We reach for it on autumn evenings and at dinner. For amber lovers who also want some freshness and spice, it ranks high in the Thameen range.
