Conscious Returns

At ParfuMaria, we believe it is important to handle returns responsibly. Of course, every consumer has the legal right to return a product. At the same time, we believe it is important to raise awareness of the environmental impact and costs associated with unnecessary returns.

Every return shipment requires additional transportation. A parcel is first delivered to the customer and then transported back to ParfuMaria. This results in additional CO₂ emissions, increased pressure on transport networks and the use of extra packaging materials. Returned products must also be inspected, processed and prepared for resale.

In addition to the environmental impact, every return involves costs. These include return transportation, administrative handling, payment processing fees and the time required to inspect and prepare returned products for resale. Furthermore, ParfuMaria often covers all or part of the original shipping costs for outgoing orders.

To encourage more conscious purchasing decisions, ParfuMaria charges a return processing fee of €5.00 per returned order. This contribution covers only part of the actual costs associated with processing a return.

ParfuMaria donates 50% of every return processing fee to Greenpeace in support of environmental and nature conservation initiatives.

With this approach, we aim to contribute to more conscious online shopping while encouraging customers to make thoughtful purchasing decisions before placing an order and before deciding to return a product.
