Inspiration
The Peacock Throne was one of the most opulent treasures in history: a jewel-encrusted golden throne of the Mughal Empire. Thameen placed the rare Taif rose at the heart of this scent to portray the splendour of that throne. The house calls the result both regal and intimate.
Fragrance Family
Floral, rose and woody
The Olfactive Composition
Top notes: Sicilian lemon oil, pink pepper, nutmeg
Heart notes: Taif rose, Turkish rose, jasmine
Base notes: Haitian vetiver, patchouli heart, sandalwood, vanilla
The Signature of Peacock Throne
Sicilian lemon oil, pink pepper and nutmeg open fresh and spicy. Taif rose, Turkish rose and jasmine form a lavish, radiant floral heart. Haitian vetiver, patchouli, sandalwood and vanilla give a warm, creamy base with a dry woody edge.
What our ParfuMaria team thinks of this fragrance
Peacock Throne is the richer, warmer sibling of Noorolain Taif. Two kinds of rose bring volume, nutmeg adds a slightly oriental spice, and vanilla makes the drydown soft and inviting. We find it at its finest on cool evenings, when the rose has room to bloom. Longevity is long and the sillage clear. For rose lovers who want it a little fuller and more sensual, it is a scent to look forward to.
