This set holds Amber Room, the scent Thameen based on the amber chamber of the Catherine Palace, in two forms. The lotion is made with argan and shea and carries the same scent, so you first care for the skin and then perfume it.

The scent opens with citrus, ginger and pink pepper and moves through rose, patchouli and cinnamon to a base of amber, sandalwood, incense, vetiver and tonka. In the lotion it is softer and closer to the skin; together with the extrait the amber glow grows fuller and lasts longer.

We like this set mainly as a gift, for someone you already know loves amber. The layer of lotion beneath the perfume truly makes a difference: on dry winter skin a scent fades faster, and here it gets a soft foundation.
