The Story of the Brand
Perfumer's Workshop began with a counter at Bloomingdale's, where customers had their own scent composed from essential oils: the spirit of hippie culture, translated into luxury. Perfume by Appointment at Harrods followed, then Personal Perfumery at Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom. Amouroud is the refined continuation of that experience. The house calls its collection a gathering of scent memories and stories, real and imagined, rendered in woods, flowers, roots and herbs. The perfumes are made in the United States.
The Signature of the House
Characteristic are the heavy octagonal bottles with gold cap and gold label, rich concentrations and an obvious love of oud, which the house dares to use both dark and light, even transparent.
Collections
The Classic line in black bottles carries scents such as Oud du Jour, Safran Rare and Midnight Rose. In white stand the fresher Himalayan Woods and Silver Birch, the Garden Collection adds colour with Apricot Nectar, Carissa Flower and Enchanted Garden, and the 75 ml Elixirs and Extraits, such as Golden Oud, Noir Illuminé and Virgin Leather, are the most concentrated.
