The rose begins fresh and spicy, with Taif rose, lily and geranium, made creamy by cardamom and davana oil. In the heart, saffron, rose de mai and clove melt together with warm cedarwood. The drydown is dark and animalic: Javanese vetiver, musk, leather and oud.

For us La Rose Noire is the rose for the night. Cardamom and davana open creamy and a touch fruity, but saffron soon takes over and the flower turns leathery and deep.
