Golden Oud

Inspiration
Golden Oud is the showpiece of the Elixir line. At its core is a natural resin of Indian agarwood, which the house calls liquid gold. Amouroud wove layer upon layer of noble rose around it, warm sweet woods and Madagascan vanilla absolute, and housed it in a heavy bottle with a copper-coloured cap, presented in a case.

The Signature of Golden Oud
The opening is surprisingly gentle for an oud: purple violet, heliotrope and a sparkling champagne cassis. Then the golden oud steps forward, wrapped in a mist of patchouli and orris. The base is a wealth of smoked caramel, guaiacwood, vanilla, myrrh and tobacco musk, giving the wood a dark golden aura.
