Lubin

Soon after the French Revolution, Pierre Francois Lubin founded his perfume house in Paris and supplied scented ribbons, powders and early perfumes to the fashionable Incroyables and Merveilleuses. His creations quickly won the favour of the Imperial court, and Lubin scents were worn by Empress Josephine, Pauline Bonaparte and later by European royalty in England and Russia. After a period of decline, the house was revived in the early two thousands by Gilles Thevenin, who brought production back to France and carefully rebuilt Lubin as a refined French niche perfume house with a strong heritage.
