The Story of the Brand
Pierre-François Lubin, born in 1774, learned the trade from 1784 with Jean-Louis Fargeon, perfumer to Queen Marie-Antoinette. After the Revolution he opened his first shop near the Palais Royal, Au Bouquet de Roses. Empress Joséphine became a devotee of his creations, and later Lubin supplied George IV of England, Tsar Alexander I and the French court. The Prot family carried the house forward.
The Signature of the House
Every Lubin scent tells a story, from queens and spies to Breton elves, and is made in France, often by Thomas Fontaine or Delphine Thierry.
