The Story of the Brand
The house was founded by Ersin Bas and Sinan Karakas, two friends with some 25 years of experience each in the perfume world. Their aim: to restore the depth and structure of attar, without dilution. ‘Attar’ stands for the strength of perfume oil, ‘Al Has’ for the personal and private. Together the name says exactly what the house wants to be: concentrated and intimate.
The Signature of the House
Istanbul is the centre. The city layers Byzantine, Ottoman and contemporary worlds on top of each other, and so do these fragrances. Think of incense as in Hagia Sophia, salty mist over the Bosphorus, spices from the market. Alongside oud, amber and rose, the house chooses clear themes: gold, addictive vanilla, spices. The bottle is heavy and precise, with calligraphy engraved like a seal.
Perfumers and Collections
The house works with renowned perfumers. Rose and oud are at the heart of Anatolian Rose, Spice Rose, Metallic Oud and Passion Oud. Warm and golden are Gold Sunset, Golden Ice and Wonderful Tonka; Fleur de Tabac and Leather Effecto choose tobacco and leather.
A separate series is named after gemstones, each with the colour and character of its stone: Wild Emerald, Ethereal Moonstone, Harmonic Tourmaline, Radiant Peridot, Tiger's Eye and Velvet Morganite.
