With Metallic Oud, Attar Al Has shows that oud can also be radiant and feminine. The house uses natural oud from Laos and sets it against a bright, woody amber accord. The Signature of Metallic Oud
Raspberry, pear and orange give a juicy start, while elemi resin, lemon and saffron add a metallic, citrus-resinous sheen. Bulgarian rose and orange blossom form a spiced floral heart with amber, pepper and pink pepper. In the base the Laotian oud appears, surrounded by patchouli, amber fir, cedar, Madagascar vetiver, oakmoss and musk.

For us Metallic Oud is proof that an oud scent need not be dark and heavy. The elemi and saffron give the cool, almost metallic sheen the name refers to, and the raspberry makes it playful. Only in the base does the oud come forward, clean and woody, with the oakmoss as a fine chypre shadow. It wears well by day and by night, and stays surprisingly long on skin. A lovely first meeting with oud for anyone who thought it was not for them.
