Inspiration
The richness of Safran Rare lies hidden in a modest purple crocus that blooms for only a few days. Each flower holds three red stigmas, which are harvested by hand and dried in the sun until their precious, silky aroma is concentrated. Perfumer Claude Dir crowned that saffron with an Indian oud.

The Signature of Safran Rare
Freesia leads a floral, airy start with bergamot, rose, geranium and a hint of olibanum. Then comes the saffron, leathery and faintly metallic, carried by cedarwood, rose centifolia and jasmine from Grasse. The base, of benzoin, Indonesian oud, vetiver, sandalwood and vanilla, is soft, balsamic and long-lasting.
