Ik vind de geur wel lekker, maar ben ontgoocheld door de fles! Ziet er zeer mooi uit, maar bij het uitpakken (en hij was echt nog in de plastiekverpakking dus zeker NIET geopend onderweg!) Was de doos binnenin wat vochtig, evenals het kwastje dat eraan te bengelen hing! Jammer, maar ik denk dat hun flessen niet goed afsluiten....!
Wanneer je Reve d'Ossian ruikt, stap je als het ware in een tijdmachine. Je opent de deur van de linnenkast van je grootmoeder. Daar waar je eigenlijk helemaal niet mag komen. Juist in die kast bewaard zij haar zaken waarvan ze niet wilt dat iedereen, en zeker geen nieuwsgierige kinderen, er notie van kunnen nemen. Reve d'Ossian zou heel goed op de bovenste plank verborgen kunnen liggen, samen met enkele brieven en foto's en waarschijnlijk een vergeelde ansichtkaart. Misschien was het haar geschonken door haar verloofde, nu jouw grootvader, misschien had ze het zelf gekocht toen ze nog erg jong was. Wie weet. Ze heeft de flacon in ieder geval nooit leeggemaakt of weggegooid. Was ze er zuinig op omdat het haar aan een dierbaar moment herinnerde? Of heeft ze het nooit weg willen gooien omdat het een schuldbekentenis is. Had ze het misschien in haar jonge jaren weggenomen van een kaptafel van iemand anders, was het van haar moeder of was het haar gegeven door iemand die ooit veel voor haar betekende en juist niet jouw grootvader is?
Reve d'Ossian ruikt werkelijk wat stoffig, nostalgisch, ongehaast. Het ruikt naar sepia kleurige foto's van familieleden poserend op een gazon voor een huis.
