Inspiration
Of all the French perfume houses, Oriza L. Legrand was the only one to hold the title Purveyor to the Imperial Russian Court. Violettes du Czar was created for the Tsar's court and won a gold medal at the London world fair of 1862.

To us Violettes du Czar is the most beautiful violet perfume in existence. It starts like a bunch of fresh violets from the market, turns powdery like an old sweet tin and ends on soft leather. We find that blend of sweet and bold irresistible. We wear it in winter with a fur collar and feel like a true countess. Gorgeous for women, though men wear it with panache too.
