The Signature of Aoud Damascus
The Damascus rose is not sweet and powdery here but fresh and slightly tangy, like an open bloom with dew still on its petals. Beneath it lies the dry warmth of oud, giving the rose depth and a velvety shadow. Olibanum adds a bright, almost citrusy incense smoke, and gurjun, a balsam from Southeast Asia, brings a resinous, lightly woody glow that ties the composition together.
