The Story of the Brand
MASQUE was born on 1 April 2010 from the friendship between Alessandro Brun, raised in Milan as the son of a glass-blower and later a professor at Politecnico di Milano, and Riccardo Tedeschi from Assisi, an engineer and classical guitarist. Their shared passion for art and perfume led them to write down their memories: moments from their past, places visited, friendship, love and recurring dreams. A collection of scenes emerged. No longer just orchestra directors, they became playwrights and producers of an opera, with young perfumers as interpreters. In 2013 Masque Fragranze was born.
The Signature of the House
Every Masque fragrance is the creation of a renowned perfumer whose name is signed on the bottle, made with top-grade materials and produced in Italy by artisan companies. The fragrances are Eau de Parfum and Extrait de Parfum with more than 20 percent perfume oil, designed for strong sillage and excellent staying power. The recognisable bottles are individually screen-printed and carry caps in silk-wood or metal.
Collections
The Opera collection comprises four acts of four scenes each: Experiences (Terralba, Montecristo, Russian Tea, Times Square), Interior Monologues (Luci ed Ombre, Mandala, (homage to) Hemingway, Kintsugi), Sentimental Relationships (L'Attesa, Romanza, Love Kills, Tango) and Dreams (Lost Alice, Ray-Flection, Sleight of Fern, White Whale). Le Donne di Masque is a series of portraits of women, including Dolceacqua, Petra, Madeleine, Catherine, Diana and Vaiana. The Ruby collection reinterprets icons with oud.

Russian Tea, L'Attesa, Tango and Madeleine are among the house's best-known fragrances: from smoky tea and a precious iris heart to warm amber and a Parisian chestnut gourmand. White Whale closes the Opera with ambergris and salty sea air.
