Inspiration
From the sixties onwards, perfumes looked for a new freshness, later called eaux fraîches. Paul Vacher was one of the first in this style, with Whip in 1953 and later Cologne and Eau Noble. Eau Folle borrows the name of a vanished creation from the seventies and appeared in 2025 as a contemporary tribute.

The Olfactive Composition
Top notes: Basil, wormwood, violet leaf
Heart notes: Ginger, rosemary, geranium, lavandin
Base notes: Vetiver, patchouli, cedarwood, olibanum
The Signature of Eau Folle
Basil, wormwood and violet leaf give an herbal, green and enthusiastic impulse. Ginger, rosemary, geranium and lavandin keep the heart fresh and aromatic. A base of diffusive, humid wood with vetiver, patchouli, cedar and olibanum stretches the freshness, at a 25 percent concentration unheard of for this family.
What our ParfuMaria team thinks of this fragrance
The problem with many fresh scents is that they are gone after an hour. Eau Folle solves that, and we find it impressive. The wormwood and basil smell like a handful of fresh herbs, and that freshness really lasts all day. Below sits a damp, green wood with a hint of olibanum. It is energetic and easy. Lovely on warm days, to work and on holiday.
