La Liturgie des Heures

Inspiration
An ancient Romanesque chapel in southern Italy or a monastery in the fragrant hills of Greece: here time has no importance, there is only eternity. The scent is based on a childhood memory of Jovoy's founder. His grandfather befriended a monk while in captivity during the Second World War, and afterwards the family often visited his abbey. Perfumer Jacques Flori gave the incense a special touch of smoke and humidity, typical of sacred places where time seems to stand still.

Musk and patchouli lay a soft, gently earthy base beneath. The result smells of cool stone, candle smoke and silence, serene yet full of tension.
