This scent stands for the animal kingdom, and you can smell it. The opening is bright and peppery, with pink pepper and elemi giving a resinous, citrusy freshness. Then it becomes precious and deep. Iris absolute and oud together form a heart that is powdery and woody at once, and saffron adds a leathery, golden warmth. We find that pairing of soft iris and powerful oud particularly successful: the iris tempers, the oud gives weight. In the base castoreum absolute comes forward, lightly animalic and warm, softened by Bourbon vanilla, sandalwood and amber. It is a scent that grows quietly and lasts long.
