Inspiration
Preludio is about exploring new horizons, driven by freedom and curiosity. Luca Gritti links his earliest memories of the sea with the diary notes about Alvise Gritti, who arrived on the shores of the Ottoman Empire. The scent belongs to the Black Collection.

An aquatic fougère. Lavender, lemon and sea notes bring energy and freshness. A needle-like pine accord with sandalwood and tobacco makes the heart warm and sunny. Ambergris, musk and seaweed lay down a salty, skin-like base that lovers of classic colognes will recognise.

Preludio smells to us like a sailing boat in the early morning: salt on the deck, a pine forest on the shore and somewhere a cigarette just put out. It is fresh, yet the tobacco and sandalwood give it more backbone than most marine scents. On a linen jacket in June it is perfect. We happily recommend it to men who love classic barbershop scents and want to try something with sea air for a change.
