Inspiration
Legend has it that an apple fell on Newton's head and gave rise to the theory of gravity. Etat Libre d'Orange imagines a different scene: Newton asleep beneath a rose bush, and instead of an apple an enormous, fleshy rose falls. The title refers to Newton's famous experiment with light, which showed that colour is a property of light. In the same spirit, the house set out to make a scent that changes the way we see the world. So the Orange Extraordinaire Collection gained a fleshy, juicy rose.

Experimentum Crucis is a rose you will not soon forget. The fruit is juicy, the cumin gives it something bodily and the honey makes it almost edible. Few roses on our shelves are this exciting. It projects strongly and lasts all day. Lush and opinionated.
