Inspiration
Paul Vacher knew leather like no other. In the early sixties Christian Dior asked him for a powerful, haughty women's fragrance, which would later become Diorling. Earlier he had co-created Lanvin's Scandal. As a tribute, Le Galion made Cuir, between emancipated femininity and outspoken masculinity.

The Signature of Cuir
An herbal, lemony freshness of bergamot and elemi paves the way for an elegant leather. Its woody strength is discreetly tamed by a white floral heart of lily, with ambergris as a salty glow. Sandalwood and musk round the scent off softly.

Cuir is not rough biker leather but the leather of a beautiful handbag. The elemi brings a resinous, lemony freshness that we rarely meet so clearly. Then the lily makes the leather surprisingly soft, almost creamy. On skin it lasts long and stays close. We think it is wonderful for anyone, man or woman, who wants to come across as elegant without shouting.
