Blu

Inspiration
For Blu, Bruno Acampora was inspired by the tuberose, a captivating and persistent flower. The house recounts that tuberose was forbidden to novices in monasteries from the Middle Ages onwards, for fear it might lead them into temptation. During the Renaissance it was seen as a symbol of sensuality. Blu translates that charged history into what the house calls a unique blue dew.

The Signature of Blu
Blu is a study in white flowers, built from just four notes. Orange blossom opens light and honeyed, after which the tuberose reveals itself in full: creamy, slightly spicy and with that characteristic, almost buttery richness. Ylang-ylang amplifies the sunny, exotic character, while sandalwood catches the flowers in a soft, milky woodiness. Because the composition is so concise, every note has room to breathe, and that is exactly what makes Blu so clear and direct.
