The Signature of Bakhoor
Bakhoor, the traditional wood chips soaked in oils and resins that are burned in Arabian homes, is the point of departure. Oud, saffron and leather give the opening a dry, smouldering warmth. Cedarwood, vetiver and sandalwood then build a clear, woody framework, and guaiacwood adds a smoky, slightly tarry tone. Grey amber and white musk soften the smoke into a warm, gentle trail.
