The Story of the Brand
Andrée Putman was one of the world’s most renowned interior designers. She designed the Morgans Hotel in New York, the interior of the Concorde for Air France and boutiques for Karl Lagerfeld, Azzedine Alaïa, Thierry Mugler and Yves Saint Laurent, among others. With perfumer Olivia Giacobetti she created her own scent, with Celso Fadelli of Intertrade Group for its production: Préparation Parfumée, now L’Original, was launched at the end of 2001. In 2015 her daughter Olivia Putman expanded that single scent into a collection that evokes memories of her mother.
The Signature of the House
The bottle follows the original: clear crystal, a navy-blue cap and a blue label that wraps around it completely, leaving a small round opening through which her signature shows. Like her interiors, everything is reduced to the essence.
Collections
Besides L’Original there are Figue en Fleur, a fig tree in Provence, Formidable Man, dedicated to her husband, Magnolys around her favourite flower, the spicy Tan d’Epices and the joyful Un Peu d’Amour. All scents are Eau de Parfum, in 30 and 100 ml.
