Inspiration
Aesthete appeared in 2015 as a tribute to Paul Vacher's love of the arts, music above all. He was a friend of Maurice Ravel and, in his own way, a perfectionist craftsman always searching for beauty. The scent evokes a melody in a Parisian music room.

The Signature of Aesthete
Mandarin and the liqueur-like davana melt their fruity colours into gilded amber, wood and oud. Saffron, incense and guaiac wood give an oriental leather relief, while castoreum and jasmine warm the heart. Sandalwood, vanilla and musk provide a long, languid finish.

Aesthete is the scent we reach for when someone asks for leather with depth. In the opening the davana gives a touch of dried apricot and cognac, which immediately softens the leather. Then come oud and incense, smoky but never heavy. Later it smells like a leather armchair by the fire, with a wisp of vanilla. This is a perfume for evenings with music and a good glass.
