Patchouli calls for a desire for elsewhere, for exoticism and mystery. Essence of paradoxes, its embalming side, rounded by tonka bean, sandalwood and tolu balm succeeds in reconciling the rebelliousness and the “establishment”. Never earthy, it recalls the dry leaves of the shrub like the opulent silks that carried its sweet and enticing smell.
