Inspiration
She Was an Anomaly is dedicated to Nina Simone and Stanley Kubrick, two creators who departed from the norm and the expected. The title refers to Lisa Simone, who called her mother an anomaly: brilliant, loved, but she paid a huge price. Kubrick is present through HAL 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey. During its creation, the perfumer used Carto, an AI tool by Givaudan, which suggested an overdose of two ingredients.
