Shah'ryar is the new high point of Rania J., and as an extrait you feel the concentration straight away. The osmanthus is gorgeous: a little apricot, a little leather, with caramel that never turns sticky. Then come labdanum and oud, warm and secretive, like a palace by night. One spray on the wrist is enough for a whole evening. We keep it for special occasions, yet often catch ourselves wearing it on an ordinary Tuesday.
