Inspiration
Spice Must Flow is dedicated to merchants and their open roads of spice and silk, as a counterweight to obscurantism. Etat Libre d'Orange calls its perfumes messengers of light and refers to the many figures in its universe, from the Marquis de Sade to Tilda Swinton. With the rose, about which Ronsard wrote in 1545, everything begins and ends. The house calls it a universal scent. The scent is part of the luxurious Extraordinaire series.

Cardamom, pepper and a gingerbread accord open warm and spicy. Cinnamon, Turkish rose absolute and saffron form a rich, oriental heart, and incense, fir balsam and patchouli a resinous, faintly green base.

Spice Must Flow smells of a spice market with a bouquet of roses in between. The gingerbread and cinnamon are cosy, the fir balsam adds freshness. We find it surprisingly wearable for such a rich scent. Perfect for the winter months. Spicy and generous.
