Opus XIII Silver Oud feels like a cool silver sheen laid over dark timber, sharply polished yet quietly feral beneath the surface. It opens dry and architectural: modern patchouli, smoky leathery cypriol, and crisp cedar creating a clean, structured silhouette. The heart arrives like warm shadow, where Assam oud, deep but never harsh, fuses with Madagascar vanilla for a velvet contrast that reads elegant rather than sweet. In the drydown, the fragrance turns more intense and tactile: ambrarome, birch and guaiac wood build a smouldering wood smoke effect, while castoreum adds a discreet animalic tension. A confident statement for evenings, cold weather and true oud lovers.
