Inspiration
More than fifteen years ago Luca Gritti made this scent for Monica, his life partner and muse. It was a private gift that was never meant for the shops. Only now does he share it, with peonies that drink in sun and wind and keep secrets for two between their petals.

The Signature of Monica
The opening is fresh and peach-soft: peony and lychee with a fruity accord, like a spring breeze. In the heart jasmine takes over with a honeyed, creamy tone. Sandalwood and white musk join early and, with amber, vanilla and a woody accord, form a base that smells mostly of warm skin.

Monica moves us because of the story, yet the scent convinces just as well. It is sweet without turning childish; the lychee keeps the peony sparkling and the jasmine adds grown-up warmth. Colleagues who wore it as a test were asked every time what they had on. It suits light fabrics, long lunches and a wedding party in May.
