The khamsin is the hot sandstorm that blows through the Egyptian desert for fifty days a year, and also the name of the Maserati Marcello Gandini designed at Bertone. Salle Privée linked those two images in a warm, colourful scent full of freedom and adventure.

The Signature of Kham-Sin
Mandarin, peppermint and petitgrain are fresh and slightly spicy. At the heart sits amber, woven with thyme, violet, patchouli and resinous labdanum. Tonka and chocolate add a gentle sweetness.

Kham-Sin is amber with a smile. The peppermint in the opening is surprising, cool and playful, and the mandarin makes it sunny. Then comes a warm amber with chocolate that never turns too sweet, thanks to the thyme. We find it lovely in spring and autumn, when it is not yet truly cold. It is also beautiful layered with Monochrome, which makes it drier and woodier.
