Inspiration
Musk sums up all the paradoxes of perfumery. Once animalic and dark, taken from a small Asian deer, it has been rebuilt synthetically since the seventies to protect the species. Le Galion witnessed this shift from old to new musks and brings both together in Esquive.

The Signature of Esquive
Esquive explores the different paths musk can take. The opening is clean and innocent, with a linen accord and inviting pink pepper. Slowly a pleasant warmth reveals itself through leather and musk. Patchouli infuses the musk with a cocoa-like sensuality, together with ambrette and vetiver.

Esquive starts like a pile of freshly ironed sheets, and that alone would make us happy. But after an hour it grows warmer and more skin-like, with leather and a hint of cocoa from the patchouli. That shift from clean to sensual is what we love most about this scent. It feels like a second layer on your body. For us a scent to wear every day, even to bed.
