Encens Kapnos

Inspiration
Encens Kapnos is the first part of Les Eaux Divinatoires. Kapnos means smoke in Greek: on Artganis they read the future in burning incense, mixed with red fruits, green herbs and woods. Eric Gigodot created the scent in 2020.

The Signature of Encens Kapnos
Blackcurrant and red fruits give a juicy start. Incense and leather create a smoky, woody heart. Musk and a gourmand tone soften it.

For us Encens Kapnos is the friendliest incense scent in the collection. The red fruits make the smoke playful and a touch sweet, as if berries hang above a little fire. Then the real Somali incense comes forward, warm and resinous. It is sweet and smoky at once, and that works surprisingly well. We like wearing it on a cold Sunday. For anyone who finds incense daunting, this is a fine start.
