Inspiration
Closed Gate is about whatever hides behind a closed gate. Perfumer Benoît Bergia made it a scent of pure mystery, in which cannabis sap clouds the mind and two kinds of pepper stir the senses.

Black pepper and Sichuan pepper open tingling, with grapefruit as a fresh spark. Sandalwood, vetiver and cannabis sap form a green, woody and slightly heady heart. Musk, vanilla and labdanum make the base warm and sensual.

Closed Gate is the most exciting HFC with us. The cannabis note is green and resinous, never vulgar, and the Sichuan pepper adds an electric tingle. Towards evening it becomes a warm vanilla with labdanum, soft and secretive. We pick it on wintry evenings and nights out. For those after something unexpected and seductive.
