Inspiration
In 2014 Beaver was one of the three scents with which Zoologist made its debut, alongside Panda and Rhinoceros. At launch, Zoologist described it as a sensual musky perfume with linden blossom and synthetic beaver musk. Perfumer Chris Bartlett wanted to capture the closeness of the beaver lodge, with watery notes for the building of dams and woody touches for the felled trees.

The Olfactive Composition
Zoologist no longer publishes a note pyramid for this original version.
Official scent character: musky and animalic, with linden blossom, synthetic beaver musk, watery notes and wood.
The Signature of Beaver
According to its perfumer, the original Beaver is about the animal itself: a complex of musks and animalic materials, clean but not sterile, like a creature constantly moving in and out of the water. Linden blossom brings a soft, honeyed lightness and the wood holds it all together. It is a different scent from the later Beaver Maple Edition.
What our ParfuMaria team thinks of this fragrance
A piece of Zoologist history for lovers of skin-like musks. Interesting for collectors and admirers of the early collection.
