Inspiration

Decision is about the moment doubt gives way to clarity. Amouage describes the opening as a bolt of clarity: a cool, citrus-tinged rush of frankincense, bergamot, myrrh and juniper berries that cuts straight through hesitation. Atlas cedarwood carries the light forward, before a warm vanilla base settles into quiet, grounded acceptance.

Decision captures the paradox of every meaningful choice: resolute in its direction, yet open to what comes next. In the Gift of Kings Set 2026, the Eau de Parfum is accompanied by two shower gels.

The Signature of Decision

Pink pepper and cardamom open cool and spicy, with bergamot drawing a bright citrus edge around them. The resinous heart soon appears: juniper, needle-sharp and faintly gin-like, between frankincense and myrrh, two resins deeply tied to Oman, where Amouage was founded in 1983.

With 33 percent perfume oil, Decision has a remarkably rich texture for an eau de parfum. In the base, cedarwood and patchouli lay a dry, earthy foundation, while vanilla rounds off the sharpness, soft and warm.

Concentration: 33% perfume oil, 5 weeks of ageing: 3 weeks maceration and 2 weeks maturation.

To us, Decision feels like a crisp morning in a pine forest where frankincense is burning somewhere. On skin the start is bright and cool, then it turns more resinous and deeper, and after a few hours a warm, slightly sweet woody scent remains that feels very calm.

We love it in autumn and winter, yet thanks to the fresh opening it also works on cool spring days. A fragrance for important days, a business meeting or a night out, and for anyone who loves frankincense and conifers without heaviness. With the two shower gels, this is a complete set. It is a one-time, limited gift set.
