À l’Ombre d’Artémis captures the mysterious aura of sacred forests, where the woody freshness of fig tree and oakmoss intertwines with the delicate softness of a barely blooming rose. Joyful yet profound, it evokes the free and untamed spirit of the goddess of nature. The story unfolds at pale dawn, on damp earth, in a sanctuary with no doors, where Artemis watches and nature remains sovereign. Perfumer Suzy Le Helley drew inspiration from the painting ‘The Bath of Artemis’, which founder Jean-David Jacoby had told her about.

The Signature of À l'Ombre d'Artémis
Suzy Le Helley worked on a fresh, dewy, petal-like rose to evoke the wet skin of Artemis and her nymphs. Blackcurrant, bergamot and lily of the valley give the opening a green, juicy brightness. In the heart, the rose is surrounded by a fig accord, green and gently milky, and by ambrette with its velvety, musky softness. An oakmoss accord, sandalwood and vetiver form the sheltered, moss-green forest floor beneath. The result is a chypre-like play of light and shadow, fresh yet with depth.
