The Dark Side

Inspiration
The Dark Side is inspired by Marrakesh, one of Francesca Bianchi's favourite cities, and the rich, spellbinding scents of its markets and streets. She brought home a bottle of oud oil and built on it a sweet, woody, smoky base of her own, which she called 'My Oud' and worked into the much larger formula of The Dark Side.

The Signature of The Dark Side
Honey and spices open warm and sticky. Iris and violet give a powdery softness, and sandalwood, cedar, vetiver, amber, styrax, incense, patchouli and vanilla form a dark, smoky oriental.

The Dark Side smells of a souk at sunset, with honey, spices and incense drifting from the stalls. The oud is present but embedded, sweet and smoky rather than sharp. We find the iris and violet a beautiful softening. It is warm, rich and very comfortable in winter. For fans of oriental scents with a personal touch.
