Inspiration
With Scent Intense, Costume National took its first step into perfumery in 2001, with a scent made entirely in Italy. Laurent Bruyère gave amber a punk-rock soul. It became the scent by which the house is still recognised today.

The tea and bergamot give a brief, bright introduction. Rose, hibiscus and jasmine bring tension and contrast. Then amber and leather take over, backed by sandalwood and patchouli.

Scent Intense in 50 ml is a lovely way to bring this icon home. It has that typical blend of rugged and elegant you rarely find in other amber scents. We prefer to wear it when the days grow shorter, with dark colours and heavy fabrics. One spray on the collar and you smell it all day. Anyone who loves amber and leather should have worn it at least once.
