The Story of the Brand
Sasva was launched at the end of 2022 by Sriman Subramanian from Chennai. His mother filled the house with flowers, incense and fragrant wood, and that is where his love of perfume began. In Sanskrit Sasva means excellent or praiseworthy, and the logo is the thousand-petalled lotus. Each perfume often carries a Hindi or Urdu title and tells a memory: a bar in Bandra, a beach hut in Palolem, an orchard full of mangoes, a tavern on the Silk Road. The compositions come from perfumers such as Jordi Fernández, Luca Maffei and Hamid Merati-Kashani.
The Signature of the House
Recognisable are the warm spices, the tropical fruit and the rich base of oud, amber and vanilla, always with a story from India behind it.
