Description

Oxford

Inspiration
Oxford is Ruth's student years. In that city her eyes were opened: new people, new ideas, a world without limits. She drew on the packet of Gitanes from those years, chic and rough at once, and on the realisation that you may make your own choices.

Fragrance Family
Oriental and spicy

The Olfactive Composition
Top notes: Bergamot, galbanum, basil
Heart notes: Clary sage, rosemary, jasmine
Base notes: Amber, vanilla, vetiver, oud

Perfumer
Ruth Mastenbroek

The Signature of Oxford
Bergamot and basil crackle green. Clary sage and rosemary bring a herbal, almost leathery smoke. Amber, vanilla and oud form a warm, dark floor with dry vetiver.

What our ParfuMaria team thinks of this fragrance
Oxford is the scent from the house we debate most often, and that says enough. It opens like a herb garden, green and sharp, and then smoke creeps in, like a cigarette in the rain before a lecture. The vanilla and amber never make it sweet, rather velvety. For us it is perfect with a tweed jacket or a wool jumper in October. Men often choose it, but the women on our team wear it just as gladly. It lingers calmly all day.

Hanneke
