Not what I would call aquatic, in my opinion. I would classify it as a floral oriental. It is warm and sweet but there is also a freshness about it, I guess the melon in the opening is an aquatic note. I find it a beautiful, allround, complex, intriguing scent. Longlasting and heavy indeed, but that is a compliment (so many eau de perfumes nowadays have such poor lasting power, this is good value for money). I understand the classification floral aquatic based on the notes, but the concentration of the perfume is so high that is seems more like an oriental scent. I love it from the first spray to the dry down base notes. Stays on clothes forever. My favorite right now!!!
