Amorosa means a woman in love with life. Ruth Mastenbroek thought of her home in Umbria: green hills, vineyards, rows of olive trees and that sense of freedom the moment she sets foot on Italian soil.

What our ParfuMaria team thinks of this fragrance
Amorosa is the scent we open when it is grey outside and we want to imagine ourselves in Italy. That watermelon is no candy; it is more like the cold slice of fruit served after lunch on a terrace. Galbanum keeps it green and slightly bitter, which makes it grown-up. After a quarter of an hour the white flowers arrive, sunny yet never heavy. The amber below stays on the skin into the evening. In the large bottle it is our daytime choice for a whole summer.

Not what I would call aquatic, in my opinion. I would classify it as a floral oriental. It is warm and sweet but there is also a freshness about it, I guess the melon in the opening is an aquatic note. I find it a beautiful, allround, complex, intriguing scent. Longlasting and heavy indeed, but that is a compliment (so many eau de perfumes nowadays have such poor lasting power, this is good value for money). I understand the classification floral aquatic based on the notes, but the concentration of the perfume is so high that is seems more like an oriental scent. I love it from the first spray to the dry down base notes. Stays on clothes forever. My favorite right now!!!
