Inspiration
Ptah is a new version of a scent from the original CIRO archive, named after the Egyptian god of makers and artists. The house gave the old name a clear, contemporary form in which frankincense plays the lead.

The Signature of Ptah
Bergamot, sage, ginger and elemi open fresh and resinous. Frankincense, geranium and iris form a smoky, powdery heart. Vetiver, tonka, vanilla and leather give a dark, warm base.

Ptah is, to us, an incense scent that is easy to wear. Ginger and sage make the start lively, after which the frankincense stays clear and airy rather than heavy. By mid-afternoon a soft leather with tonka slides underneath, lovely on a scarf. We wear it from October to March, by day and on a quiet evening. For those seeking incense with a fresh, powdery side.
