Patchouli 1969 Eau de Parfum 120 ml

About this blend.
Patchouli flower, already present in several of MPG’s fragrances (Parfum d’Habit, Cuir Fétiche, Bois de Turquie) had, until now, never been worked as such. With this fragrance, as with rose, sandalwood or vetiver, Maître Parfumeur et Gantier composes to sublimate a raw material: the patchouli flower.

History and inspiration
Patchouli became popular in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s with the Hippie movement. It is with this spirit of happiness and freedom that Maître Parfumeur et Gantier composed this fragrance. A fragrance that is intended to be fresh and easy to wear, but that nevertheless carries the personality and strong identity imposed by the patchouli flower.

Maître Parfumeur et Gantier’s craftsmanship is immediately recognizable. Elegance, refinement, sparkle and balance of the composition are ever present. The base of the accord, composed of sandalwood and musk, confirms the brand’s identity.

THE BOTTLE
The Eaux de Parfums come in an exquisite glass bottle with beveled edges. The seal of Maître Parfumeur et Gantier is printed in gold on a fine layer of enamel. Each bottle has a gilded cap adorned with a diamond-like Swarovski stone. Like precious jewels, fragrances are presented in red cases coated with leather grain paper, a reference to the origins of Gantier, as French glove makers (gantiers) used to scent their gloves.

In mijn brein bestaan er verschillende soorten patchouli, groen, medicinaal, muntig, aards, beetje vies, muf, etc. En ik hou van patchouli.

Patchouli1969 weet het voor elkaar te krijgen om te blijven veranderen, af en toe heel groen, vaak muntachtig en soms een tikje vies. Er zit ook iets van zoethout in denk ik. Een hele rijke geur waarbij de bloemen ook van zich laten horen.

Vroeger nam mijn vader me mee naar de markt. Ik heb het over 45 jaar geleden. Daar verkochten ze flesjes olie, hij trakteerde me op een flesje patchouli olie. Nou nou ik vond het wat. 7 Jaar oud en mijn eerste flesje geur. En als ik Patchouli1969 ruik dan moet ik daar altijd aan terugdenken.

Deze geur zou omschreven kunnen worden als ''The hippie wears Prada''. Patchouli en chique!

Blijft uren geuren, flinke concentratie, je laat een spoor na en mensen roepen vaak ''wat ruik je lekker!''
