Inspiration
The maquis is the dense scrub covering half of Corsica: mastic, myrtle, cistus, wild mint. Napoleon said he would recognise his island with his eyes closed by that smell. Corticchiato, a Corsican himself, made a rugged tribute to it.

Freshly cut grass, tomato leaf and mastic give a vivid green, almost sticky opening, brightened with mint and bergamot. Galbanum and pepper make the heart sharp and spicy. Oakmoss, resin and earth leave a dry, sunny trail.
