Patchouli is the most sensuous among all the woody notes, a material of great importance in the perfumer´s palette and one that is prized for its richness. Patchouli has many facets. There is always more to discover about its damp, wet, mossy, dry, almost dusty earthiness. It evokes power and depth.
A multifaceted and strong fragrance sublimated by a patchouli, rose and geranium combination strengthened by an amber and vanilla incense background. A powerful perfume which leaves no one indifferent.
It´s definitely a very un-hippie patchouli that bestrides the olfactory gender spectrum and is marked by Patricia de Nicolaï´s signature opening of candied orange with a touch of cinnamon which sweetens the marriage of a deep, dark, earthy patch and it natural partner, rose. Lavender and geranium lighten the heart of this provocative blend before melting into an incense-laden, almost tarry leather drydown that accentuates the vanillas smokier side.

"Patchouli is een materiaal van groot belang in het palet van de parfumeur. Het speelt de eerste viool in het orkest. Van alle houtachtige noten, is dit de meest sensuele. Patchouli roept rijkdom ", schrijft Patricia de Nicolaï. Met Patchouli Homme, wilde de parfumeur een houtige en oosterse geur voor mannen samenstellen, maar ze uiteindelijk heel goed te verkopen aan vrouwen ook (dat is waarom deze geur is omgedoopt tot Patchouli Intense). En waarom niet? Deze duidelijk niet-hippie patchouli strekt zich uit over beide zijden van het olfactorische geslacht spectrum, met duidelijk de Patricia de Nicolaï handtekening. De opening van gekonfijte sinaasappel,bestrooid met kaneel, die zorgt voor een zoetig huwelijk tussen een diepe, donkere, aardse patch en zijn natuurlijke partner de roos. De lavendel en geranium verlichten het hart van deze bedwelmende mix voordat het tot rust komt op een bed van wierook en leer met een vanille met rokerige facetten Een geavanceerd patchouli voor dandy's.
