The Story of the Brand
Neela Vermeire chose a concept you rarely see: Indian history told in scent. The first three perfumes each follow an era. Trayee stands for the Vedic period, with temple rituals, ayurveda and yoga. Mohur honours the splendour of the Mughal empire. Bombay Bling! is modern India, colourful and energetic, inspired by Bollywood. She gave the perfumer free rein with a precious palette of attars and resins, and evaluates every trial herself.
The Signature of the House
French perfumery with an Eastern soul. Cardamom, saffron, sambac jasmine, sandalwood, vetiver and oud keep returning, always with a high share of natural ingredients. The scents are layered and unfold for a long time on the skin: an opening that quickly gives way to a powerful heart.
Perfumers and Collections
The perfumer behind the collection is Bertrand Duchaufour, a perfumer since 1985 and a great lover of India. He likes to play with contrasts, such as plant and animal notes. Besides the original trio there are Pichola, named after the lake of Udaipur, Ashoka and Rahele. The 2022 Fragments by NVC series consists of Nemus (green, renewal), Thyina (tender comfort) and Purpureum (mystic warmth). There are also extraits such as Mohur Extrait.

Mohur is for many the heart of the house: rose and oud, rich yet gentle. Trayee is spiritual and spicy, with jasmine, cardamom, incense and vetiver. Pichola is a radiant bouquet of orange blossom, tuberose and rose over sandalwood and benzoin.
